01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Make taco rice the centrepiece, or choose a few tacos. At Estrella in Yada, you can tailor your meal to your appetite and preferred fillings. Taco rice comes in 3 sizes, S, M and L. The menu gives a guide to the rice portions: 1, 1 and 2 bowls, respectively. Choose S for a lighter meal or L when you want something more substantial. Some diners have said that even the S size was satisfying, while others found the M size filling, so if you are unsure, starting with the smaller portion may be a good option. Visitors have also praised the taco rice, which combines minced meat and cheese with vegetables; one comment noted that the crisp texture of the vegetables added a pleasant contrast and made the dish easy to eat with the rice. The menu lists cheese sauce as an extra for ¥50, and some diners have chosen to add it. One review also mentioned having the cheese left out, which may be useful if you would prefer to adjust the toppings.
Choose from 5 taco varieties: meat, gratin, sausage, teriyaki pork, and prawn and avocado. To compare fillings, there is a platter with 4 varieties to choose from, and the set lets you combine 2 varieties. Diners who chose prawn and avocado and teriyaki pork have said that both the tacos and taco rice were generously filled and satisfying. The taco set comes with 2 varieties of taco, fries, and a drink or soup. The taco rice set adds 2 varieties of taco and soup to the taco rice, making it a good choice when you want both rice and tacos. The mild salsa is tomato- and ketchup-based; the hotter version is a little spicy, with jalapeño and grated garlic. If you like to switch up the flavours as you eat, you could try both.
You can eat in or order takeaway, for enjoying taco rice or tacos at home. The menu also lists a children’s meal: a mini taco rice without spices, fries, gratin, octopus-shaped sausage, a drink and jelly.
